USPW Staff have worked with many people to customize a well water
treatment system specific to their particular water profile. The
first step is to have a full spectrum analysis of your water
through a testing laboratory (we recommend NTL National Testing
Laboratory, and have the kits for taking samples available on
stock). We offer some limited testing at our Retail location as
well. Then we can make a determination as to the best treatment
configuration for you.

Well water Treatment can consist of any combination of the
following technologies, depending on your particular water
profile: Ozonation, Ultraviolet, Chlorine injection & Carbon
Filtration, Conditioning and Softening.

To Detect, Indicator Tests and Treatment
Iron Will foul membranes, Red or rusty looking
water, Test for routinely anyway w/ USPW or NTL test, UsePre iron
filter.Softener, chlorination or ozone
Nitrates Unsafe, RO re-moves it, but may need add'l treatment. If in
an agricultural area, Test for it-there is a good chance it's in the water. If not,
don't test for it. TFC RO (with Nitrate removal upgrade if
nec.-high levels). Test with USPW or NTL.
Manganese Will foul membranes - Brown water out of
tap. Blackstaining. Won't nec.show-test routinely. Mang. Filter, Chlorination, Needs
Ozone, Softener. Test with USPW or NTL test.
Bacteria Unsafe - Needs add'l treatment, ALWAYS TEST FOR.,
Chlorination, Ozonation, UV Ultra filtration. Local Health Dept.
(usually no charge) or Brelje & Race
Hydrogen Sulfide - Will foul membrane - Test for if their water smells like sulphur. Otherwise,
don't tes. Treat with Chlorination, ozone, Centaur Carbon. USPW or NTL.
Most other minerals etc. will be removed by ReverseOsmosis, so you can test for them ifyou are curious, but it
is not necessary (they will not hurt the membrane). Tthere are many variables in treatment
selection, depending upon cost, environmental sensibilities, applications and other contaminants found in the test results
etc., so when we get your test results back, we will have a specialist in that department talk to
them.
